✿ Carpenter Street Cafe✿

As good time pass faster, one of my colleagues is leaving us today as she is going to finish her internship period. Thus, a farewell lunch was organised by all of us for her.
After discussion, as suggested by Jacgyc--- Sarawak food restaurant, we decided to go to Carpenter Street Cafe which is located at Bandar Bayan Baru. This shop is famous with its Sarawak Kolo Mee and Sarawak Laksa. We were all there for these!

The ambience of the restaurant is quite comfortable with warm lighting, however, it was really packed during lunch hour. Many people were waiting for tables sadly.

Below is the signature original Sarawak Kolomee.A must try for Sarawak food=)
Ordered by one of my collegues, i think it turn out not bad as she finished it fast =)
Does it look like our Wan Tan Mee??

From the Sarawak Tourism Board,
The difference between Kolok Mee and the Wantan Mee, that is popular in Peninsular, is that Kolok Mee is not drenched in dark soy sauce and water is not added to the noodles when served. But the taste is
still pretty amazing.

This is the signature original Sarawak Kolomee .RM5.90

The taste of Sarawak Laksa is totally different with Penang laksa, it is more to Penang Curry Mee , where Sarawak Laksa served with lime, sambal, juicy prawns and tender chicken slides.
Curious about it? Have a try ^^
Sarawak Laksa RM7.90

Sarawak Wantan Soup RM4.50
This wantan soup surprisingly turned me down as it was so normal=(

XO Fried Rice RM 6.90
Highly Recommended by me~ This fried rice serves with XO sos is extremely fragrant and tasty!

Sarawak Tomato Noodles RM7.90

Sarawak Fried Kolomee RM7.90

Ginger Chiken rice RM8.90
This is ordered by one of my collegues who does not eat vege at all =)

Sarawak Red Kolomee RM 5.90

Overall, the Sarawak original dry Kolomee is not bad and the food served is reasonable priced. I will definately pay my second visit for it. To date, Carpenter Cafe do not offer any set meal at the moment.
On the other hand, the food served was slow as they cooked it one by one.

Do pay them a visit!
